Helloo! I'm still working on my new pages but I thought I'd let you know about what I've been doing in the meantime. At the moment I'm currently playing Code Veronica X. I've been playing it on emulator since it's not on steam or GOG (rip) and although my dad claims to have the dreamcast version (he doesn't) it just made more sense for me to play on my PC. At first I was not fond of the default control scheme or how slow (and I mean slow) those door animations were but I think Code Veronica has sort of grown on me only because I've replayed from the beginning 3 times just so I could see how far I could go without saving. I've replayed the same section of the game because I thought I could really push myself to try harder, especially because this game, just like its predecessors punish you for saving. As ideal it would be to just not save, I do not trust my skills. SO- that means I have to just lower the amount of saves I can use, which means going as far as I can till I feel like I've made enough progress to then save. Just now I played a solid 30 minutes of the game so I could:
1) Do a small test run
2) See if I could from when you get the first eagle plate go all the way through the private residence and complete that section when you get the last proof- save.
It was then during that test run I saw I could so I saved cause I wasn't gonna do all that again. Now I just have to go back and deal with the plane tyrant boss, make my first *free* save and continue the last hour of the game(cause I'm "speedrunning" it).
I do actually want to make a note that ever since I've beat RE2R on Claire's 2nd run with an S rank that pretty much put me in the mindset that I must complete these games as fast as possible and get a *decent enough* ranking. I've wanted to play CVX blind THEN do another run, but I knew if I did it once it was going to stay once. I know when I start playing RE4 OG and then RE4R I'll play blind.
Anyways, I just wanted to ramble about Resident Evil. I'm glad I got into it and it was because of fanfiction. See ya.
