Almost died yesterday~ (;´д`)ゞ I kid of course.
I picked up a new bike from my friend's place and decided the best rational thing to do is to bike the way home. That was the idea. The plan. The whole thing. It would only take me 36 minutes to get home by bike, so I decided to go ahead and try. Her house is near a park so I went through and took a bike trail. It was nice to feel the wind and not have to put so much movement since I was headed downhill but once I saw my GPS told me to turn back I probably should've realized I'm not gonna be able to go home by bike. I still followed and eventually went to the street. Realization #2: I'm gonna have to bike on the street, the same street where there are cars. I am probably gonna get hit by a car. I don't trust myself NOT to get hit by a car. SO- I decided "Nope I give up." I'm gonna try to find some other way to get home without risking my life on the street. So I just had to bike on the sidewalk no biggie. Except I kept going around in circles and by the time I reached some progress I was EXHAUSTED. It didn't help that the heat was blistering and I haven't actually had any breakfast aside from some coffee. So I was feeling faint too to add to my dire status. I tried getting an uber home but the car was too small (even though I ordered an XL), so I decided that I was gonna take the train instead. Cue 15 minutes of me occasionally biking but mostly walking, and I reached the train station. Only to realize it's 3 flights of stairs I'm gonna have to travel with an at least 20 pound bicycle. Luckily the good people of my neighborhood did not let me down and offered to carry my bike for me, and I got to the train station and went home. What should've been 36 minutes turned to 2 hours. SO the lesson we learned here today is don't be like me.
