I have now begun the process of adding my Dragon Age Shrine! You can now go onto shrines and click on the dragon age image to be taken to said shrine- made to look like the codex from Origins! It's not done though~ (*/ω\*) I tried getting most of it done today but who knew it would be very exhausting drawing and then coding! Regardless you can now take a peek into my shrine for DA. Once I'm finished with it(which I won't give any time approximations for, we all know I'm terrible with timing) I'll begin work on my Tokimeki Memorial Shrine! I hope to make it look like Konami's promotional site for the games. Aside from Shrines I'm hoping I can also begin work on making 2 seperate sections for my writing- my daily life section and then my gaming section- that way I have a space to share my style savvy screenshots!
In other news, I just finished “黒い十人女” or "Ten Dark Women" on Netflix today! I just started watching J-dramas and the premise of this one struck my eye. Therefore, having finished it, I wanted to give my review! Let us begin:
The premise:
The premise of the show consists of 9+1 women all engaging in an affair- the plot twist? It's with the same guy! Immediately I was drawn to the show.
The Story:
I will say I was worried to see how the show would work with the 9 women as having to work with that many characters also runs the risk of losing cohesiveness in the story, but I will say everything was connected really well! I was very entertained throughout the drama and because it is a comedy, I found myself laughing often- especially in scenes where Miwa-chan was in, as she was the one character no one really liked so there were a lot of physical gags associated with her character: particularly the other women beating her up. I found it hilarious when she had to wear the neck brace when Mai-chan kicked her to the point she was flying!
But anyways, the show starts showing us every AP of Kaze-san, and eventually they all come together to come up with the plan to kill Kaze! I was very much prepared for this to happen, especially because we start to see how *trash* of a person he is- but at the same time, I also like how the show also reminds us that the women aren't all that good either. It only did it three times, but there's a cutaway gag made to look like a kids show with the title "Why do adults cheat?" and you have the women give scenarios and why it happens. Of course, the little racoon(?) mascot alsways makes sure to say "that just makes you trash, right?" We also funnily enough she their comeuppance when Mitsumi-san calls them out by pointing out that they chose to have an affair with a married man. It was pretty ironic. That being said, I'm *SPOILER* disappointed they ended up not killing Kaze-san in the end- I sort of understand why, they decide they want to be happy without him, and instead show him how happy and thriving they'll be; but I wish he learned his lesson the hard way! That being said as much as I wanted his character to simply pass away, I did enjoy his character quite a bit- he's an asshole no doubt, but I love the fact that they really emphasize how much of a smooth-talker he can be. He really finds his way to get out of situations that would otherwise prosecute him- and the way he says goodbye gets me everytime. I also find it equally ironic how *SPOILER * Mitsumi-san goes on about how she's having an affair with a younger man who told her he's going to divorce his wife but we find out in the end that he's JUST like Kaze-san as coincidentally ALSO has 9 APs!
The Performances
One thing I will say is that unlike any other Jdrama I've seen, the actresses really know how to give such expressive and vibrant performances that really lend to the comedy portion of the show. Especially when Miwa-chan was full on crying begging Kaze-san not to leave her- I don't think I've ever seen an actress cry like that in Jdrama. But then again, I'm not all that well-versed. I also enjoyed Kayo-chan's performance, she also heavily lended to the comedy portion of the show with her over-acting, especially in her plays shes in. Overall I can't say I have any complaints, everyone gave their best in this show.
My final thoughts for this show is that it's a 9/10. Would be 10/10 if they carried through with Kaze-san dead.
