I went to Round 1 on the 15th! It was quite taxing as I had to walk 15 minutes to reach the mall and another 15 minutes once I got out TT
I hadn't been to Round 1 in quite a while so it was a bit of a shock seeing it in its current state, there were a lot more rhythm games than i remember! I expected Sound Voltex to be updated to the Exceed Gear cabinet and they had not only 1 but 2 cabinets! From what I heard they're quite hard to find, at least in the west. Granted, Round 1 is meant to be our "official" way of getting these games so I assume they get them directly from Konami; I remember when the update released and they still had the Vivid Wave cabinets. What really gets me is how cheap it is to play. I loaded my Round 1 card with $50 dollars and it gave me 300 credits. Sound Voltex only cost(if I can remember) 8.7 credits, barely anything at all! But do you wanna know what DID cost a lot??
The crane games.
Those crane games completely destroyed my wallet- it doesn't help the mobile app wasn't working great with the free wifi they give you so I got charged 3 times! In the end I accepted it because it gave me 2 big plushies. I hope to share what they look like soon once I update my site more~ In the meantime I will say whoever said those crane games were rigged are ABSOLUTELY correct! You just have to keep giving them money and trust me you will get those plushies. I found it almost funny when I walked away with them- I had two huge plushies, one in each arm. When I went to the courtyard to eat I made them sit at my table so they're my lil buddies.
I wonder how much you get with SDVX in the west. I saw events were available which surprised me fr. And hexadiver is available which I failed TT = I'm still Level 16 when it comes down to songs, I'm getting better but I find its mainly one-handed charts, tsunami charts and crazy note peak charts that get me still. I find my left hand is better than my right when it comes down to one-handed charts considering i'm right handed. σ( ̄、 ̄〃)
I wonder why that is. Anyways, I also got to play IIDX Eposis which I'm a complete beginner at- I can only play level 3 songs but I'm trying my best! I also played a little bit of Chunithym which was a bit disappointing to play... .・゚゚・(/ω\)・゚゚・.You ever see those gameplay videos on Youtube where you see some guy play this ultra-hard chart and you think "Wow thats so coool! I wanna do that" WELL, I tried and I failed obviously but Idk..I think I was expecting more out of playing? I also don't have an Aime card so I couldn't save my progress. I think I'll buy off of Ebay or something.
I also got to play Chrono Circle which is STILL confusing- personally its hard to keep track of notes, I think the indicators don't work that well cause my eyes automatically go towards the notes that I'm pressing already so when they show the indicator it's like right in my peripheral vision so i hardly notice it. They also had WACCA surprisingly and music diver which I never played. Same for GITADORA and drumfreaks which I do wanna play. Overall I was so surprised with how much they have and not to mention the utter size of that Round 1! Maybe its because I only ever sought out SDVX that I never payed attention to the size but I think its an ideal size for an arcade.
All in all, I had a fun time and I hope to visit again.
